Crazy but Exciting Week!

So this week is spirit week... and it is a crazy week! We took our first pop-quiz this week in business. Thankfully I listened to Mrs. Weser and actually studied...and it paid off because I got a 100! :D On a sad note...we didn't reach our goal of 1000 votes by Monday, so we weren't able to have a party Tuesday :( Today (a couple days late), we finally reached our goal of 1000 votes! I really hope that the fliers my group put up around the school are still reminding people to vote, because 30,000 dollars could benefit our school in so many ways! In class this week, the most interesting thing was when we did the business activity. We had to pick a business from a cup and do research about all of the activities that businesses have to do. For example, my group got Starbucks. We had to do research on Starbucks and find many things out about how the company was started, where they got their start up money, how the government was involved, and many other things! This was a little bit of a challenge because we had to finish in a certain amount of time, but it all worked because my group got all of the points we needed to hit! We also did a fun activity where you had to either choose a business to add too or make up your own. My group chose to make a jewelry shop. We thought of many things to include with our information, including the business, entrepreneurs, workers, government, and the customers. We even thought to make a kiosk for our jewelry within the school so more people could buy the jewelry at convenient times. This was a fun activity because we had to think logically but also have fun creating a business at the same time!

  1. I was greatly discouraged that we did not reach our goal, however, this does not mean that we cannot reach it in the future!
The jewelry shop was awesome! We made a great business and we were able to work together well!

  2. I was sad we did not meet our goal either. I think you summed up this week very nicely!
